Saad Z. Asif is a telecom industry veteran, author, and global technology strategist with more than 27 years of experience across the U.S., Asia, and international organizations like the UN and ITU. He has led major initiatives in 3G, 4G, 5G, and IoT development, holding leadership roles at Verizon, T-Mobile (formerly Sprint), Telenor, and VEON.
As a senior advisor to the Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of IT & Telecom, Saad was instrumental in shaping award-winning national telecom policies and spectrum auctions that introduced 3G/4G services, boosted the startup ecosystem, and generated over USD 2 billion. He has also represented Pakistan at international forums such as the ITU and APT.
Today, Saad leads Galaxy Technology Consulting LLC, providing strategic and technical insights to global clients. He has authored three books on telecommunications, holds multiple U.S. patents, and is widely recognized for his thought leadership in 5G, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Saad holds an MS in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas and BS/MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
