Robocalls are commonly categorized as political calls that are sent out to Americans in an effort to collect votes in an upcoming election. What millions of people don't realize is that other organizations use robocalls to send out extremely important messages. Schools, churches, nonprofits, sports leagues, and countless other groups rely on robocalls to send out important messages in a timely fashion.
What types of robocalls do Americans receive throughout the year? DialMyCalls.com recently conducted an online survey to find out what types of automated calls were being sent out, the results are below:
As of October 16, 2013 the FCC and TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) have revised the rules in place regarding unwanted autodialed and/or robocalls.
We met with the FCC and are under the impression that the majority of DialMyCalls members do not need to worry much when it comes to the new TCPA regulations as they have been and will remain in compliance. Members such as churches, non-profits, sports leagues and other organizations that utilize our voice and text message broadcasting service to send out "informational calls" need not worry - the new changes directly target telemarketers and sales calls.
You should still make sure that you have expressed permission when calling members of your school or organization and always have an opt-out procedure in place. This way people who no longer wish to receive your messages can be removed from your contact lists and added into your DialMyCalls "Do-Not-Contact" list.
Members of our voice broadcasting service have the option to set up a unique local vanity phone number that will show up on the caller id when they place their calls.
Are you ready to send out hundreds to hundreds of thousands of calls using DialMyCalls but don't want to use your own phone number? We have the perfect solution for you - local vanity phone numbers! Members can now easily search through our database and select the perfect number to show up on their recipients' caller ids.[click to continue...]
